Tempered potato ( Batata Bhaji )


Ingredients

Boiled potatoes            4 nos
  Tempering
Oil                                2 tbsp
Mustard seeds              1 tsp
Cumin seeds                1/2 tsp
Asafoetida                    pinch
Turmeric pwd              1/4 tsp
Green chillies               3-4 nos
Curry leaves                5-6 nos
Coriander leaves         for topping
Seasoning                    to taste
Lemon juice                2 tsp
Sugar                           pinch

 Method


  • Make small cube of potatoes.
  • Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds allow to crackle.
  • Now add asafoetida, turmeric pwd, slit green chilli and curry leaves, saute for 10 seconds.
  • Add potato cubes mix gently, sprinkle seasoning and pinch of sugar.
  • Cover the pan and cook over medium low heat for 5 to 7 min., stir in between.
  • Remove form the fire, add lemon juice and mix well. Garnish with chopped coriander. serve hot.
