Ingredients Serving_for_5-6
4 oz Dark chocolate, chopped3 tbsp Unsalted butter
2 Egg yolks
2 Egg whites
1 tbsp Sugar
25 ml Rum
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
White or dark chocolate shavings
for garnish
Method
- In a double boiler, melt the chocolate with the butter. Remove from the heat. Add the egg yolks and rum, stirring with a whisk until the mixture is smooth. Cool until mixture is room temperature.
- In a bowl Add egg white, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Using a spatula, gently fold the Meringue into the chocolate mixture.
- Spoon into dessert dishes. Garnish with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate for about 2 hours.
