Goan Fish Curry recipe is the most popular curry in Goa and rest parts of India.
2 medium sized boneless fish
A pinch of salt
1 tsp Black pepper crushed
4 nos. Cloves
2 nos. Green Cardamom
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Turmeric powder
4 flakes Garlic cloves
6 Kashmiri red chillies
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 Coconut, grated
50 ml Tamarind pulp,
1/2 cup Water
1 nos. Onion, finely sliced
2 nos. Green chillies, sliced
20 ml Oil
Masala- Grind all the masalas together to a fine paste. Add a little bit of water to adjust the consistency.

For the Masala:
1 stick(1 inch) Cinnamon4 nos. Cloves
2 nos. Green Cardamom
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Turmeric powder
4 flakes Garlic cloves
6 Kashmiri red chillies
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 Coconut, grated
50 ml Tamarind pulp,
1/2 cup Water
1 nos. Onion, finely sliced
2 nos. Green chillies, sliced
20 ml Oil
Preparation
Fish- Marinate the fish in salt, black pepper and lime juice for 10-20 minutes.Masala- Grind all the masalas together to a fine paste. Add a little bit of water to adjust the consistency.
Method
- Heat oil in the pan add onion and green chillies and saute for 2 minutes.
- Now add the masala and water for 10 minutes.
- Once the masala is cooked add the marinated fish into the gravy.
- And cook till fish is cooked or for a one boil.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
